Tub Chairs Are New Again

There's no getting away from the fact that tub chairs were once considered old, ugly and only for those who were old, ill or in need of a seat to sit for a long time. The tub chair has definitely come full circle and today the chairs that are on offer under this great and classically designed chair and many and varied!

Basically the tub chair is back and now it's new and stylish and no longer the preserve of the senior citizen.

Check it out!

What Makes The Tub Chair Work?

So just what has made the tub chair endure? Why is it back again and with such fashion and style?

Well it undoubtedly goes to historical design beginnings of this chair and those design features have endured and only served to enhance the tub chair.

Tub Chair History

Based on the old styled bath tubs, the tub chair was originally designed and created to help the elderly and infirm to sit and recuperate.

These old Victorian bath tubs were designed with high backs and shallower fronts and this designed so resembled a chair, that these tubs were very easy to get in and out of and were very comfortable to sit in.

For those who were ill and who were elderly, the orginal designed chairs were extremely comfortable, because of their deep seats and high arms. The chairs added support and yet were firm enough to protect.

Today's Tub Chairs

It's fair to say that the days of only being able to find leather tub chairs are gone! Today you can find and enjoy a huge variety and range of tub chairs to suit any style and taste. Not only do you have this variety with the material that you can choose for your tub chair, but you can also spend time exploring the different interpretations on the tub chair.

Modern and traditional style class with huge success when you check out the contemporary styled chairs. In fact often it can take a good look to determin if you're really looking at a tub chair, but for me that's the prize of these new designs.

Basically the tub chair is one piece of wood, plastic or whatever the framework is made of. The back of the chair and the arms of the chair flow into one and there's no joining together like you'd find in an ordinary chair. So when you're wondering if it really is a tub chair, look for that feature - just as in the old bath tubs.

Also tub chairs of old had deep seats to support and add comfort and today's chairs are just the same.

So don't worry, the latest designs haven't been compromised on comfort and ease of use over style, you can still be a hundred per cent sure that you'll sit with ease when choosing a modern alternative.
